The Slayer and her friends ( parabolical)[manips made by ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} demonbloodFaith and Sam- the Slayer and the Hunter; lovers and soulmates  Faith and TK- The Slayer and the Jedi  Character Bio: Faith was born in Boston in 1980 to an alcoholic mother, with her father disappeared. The first several years of her life was spent dodging abuse from her mother and her boyfriends, often skirting on the wrong side of the law. Then, after the death of Kendra in Sunnydale she became a Slayer. The strength and power her Calling gave her was just mindblowing for her and she relished in the fights and the kills, often describing the feeling of being almost euphoric. After the brutal murder of her first Watcher she fled to Sunnydale where she met Buffy. Faith was almost Buffy's dark side- at times she was even scornful of Buffy's desire to keep her Slaying and her life separate. She tempted Buffy into skipping school and reveling in her gift ("We're Slayers girlfriend, the Chosen Two.") Despite their outward friendship, Faith felt the emotional distance Buffy kept from her keenly and, after a patrol led to Faith accidentally killing the Deputy Mayor, she turned to the Mayor Richard Wilkins, the first man to really show her a father's love and pride. Too bad he was evil. She became his personal assassin, turning against her friends and killing on the Mayor's command. Eventually this led to a showdown between Buffy and Faith that led to Faith ending up in a coma. A year later she woke up and found the world had moved on without her. Furious she attacked Buffy again and even switched bodies with her for a while. At one point, while in Buffy's body, she slammed punch after punch into her own face, screaming hatred. After Buffy undoes the switch she flees to LA, where she meets Angel. Despite attempting to kill him, Angel still tries to reach her, Eventually, after escaping from the Watchers Council she hands herself into the police and makes a confession, hoping to serve her time in prison and make amends for her past. A couple of years into her sentence she was contacted by Wesley, informing her that Angelus had returned. Without hesitating she broke out of jail, battling Angelus and even spiking her own blood with the drug Orpheus to bring him down, even though she knew it would probably kill her. After Angel was re-ensouled by Willow, Faith returned with Willow to battle the First in Sunnydale. Her time there was less than easy. Buffy had trouble accepting Faith back into her life and tensions were running high in Sunnydale. As the Potential Slayers grew angry with Buffy's style of leadership, they turned to an unprepared Faith. Even though she tried her best, Faith still got a couple of the girls killed on a mission and soon handed leadership back to Buffy, standing at her side as they walked into the Hellmouth together to fight the First. Returning to Sunnydale also gave Faith her first chance at a real relationship, with the son of a former Slayer, Robin Wood. However, when the dust was cleared after Sunnydale became a crator, the realtiy of life with a Slayer was too much for Wood and they split, as Faith went out to wander around the country alone. She was eventually tracked down by Giles who recruited her to assassinate someone he described as a danger to everyone, aristocratic Slayer Gigi Savidge, who was taking her love of hunting to sadistic levels- hunting other Slayers. Faith infiltrated Gigi's circle of trust, under the guise of 'Hope Lyone'. Once there she found out that Giles had lied to her. Gigi was not trying to end the world, but working her way up to targeting the 'Queen'. Buffy. Her warlock friend teleported Buffy to Gigi's home, causing another fight between Faith and Buffy before Willow managed to reverse the spell. Faith then fought Gigi and reluctantly killed her. Despite Giles's deception, she stayed with him, traveling the world with him to try to find other Slayers who had lost their way. On those travels they came across a former Watcher who was using Slayers who wanted out from under Buffy's leadership as bait for a demon terrorising a town. As long as the demon had Slayers as sacrifices, it wouldn't eat everyone in the town. Giles, disgusted with his former colleague, ended the arrangement. Faith was forced to confront the memories of one of her first fights, when she caught the vampire in the stomach rather than the heart, allowing the vampire to escape and kill others, a guilt she still felt ten years later. With Twilight's forces gaining strength, Giles and Faith both fled to Scotland to join with Buffy's army. Faith freaked out when she saw Wilow capture an enemy agent, realizing that Buffy was condoning the torture of others. As much as she understood the burden of leadership Buffy had, she hated that they even had to do it in the first place. When the Slayers all fled to the submarine, she stayed with them, rather than go with Buffy and Giles. They fled to Tibet, to where Oz had established a life of peace with a community of werewolves who had suppressed their animal sides. Buffy persuaded him to teach them the same thing, as Twlight was tracking them through their use of magic. Oz set the Slayers to work, using manual labour to help suppress their demon sides. Many of the Slayers, including Kennedy and Satsu, hated feeling so weak, but Faith embraced it, explaining it to Buffy "It got to me. What we had to do. What I had to do. I'm not strong enough to have to be that strong." Faith is a Slayer and as such has enhanced strength and speed and an accelerated healing rate. She also has some prophetic dreams and a sense for demons. Personality: She has a temper which she tries to control. She is very sexual and has a mask of confidence she doesn't always feel. She is wary of letting anyone close having felt let down a lot in the past. She is also desperate to make up for what she did and all the people she hurt.
